The Haus of Kroma - Visual Arts / Digital Graphic Design / Digital Media

Digital Graphic Art & Design is focused on design thinking, problem solving, and exposing students to the many facets and careers that make up Digital Art & Design. Working both on and off the computer, students will be challenged to create unique designs, develop their drawing and critical thinking skills, and learn to navigate a world where designers are asked to wear many hats.
Camilla Morell is a South Florida native whose Brazilian heritage inspires her creativity and teaching. She has worked as a freelance graphic designer, muralist, and social media artist, and her time at the Norton Museum of Art deepened her passion for art history and arts education.
She teaches 2D Studio Art (1–3) and Digital Art & Design (1–3), both structured around four pillars: foundational basics, history & application, self-portrait & photography, and connections between art/design and the wider arts.In Digital Design, students primarily work with Adobe Express and Photoshop, while Studio Art emphasizes traditional media and drawing foundations.
Across both programs, Camilla encourages students to problem solve, explore personal expression, and see creativity as both a skill and a way of understanding the world.
Visual Art
My name is Jamie L. Davis I am the Visual Art instructor at Plumosa. I earned a three year scholarship in the Visual Arts at Mercer University. There I studied Ceramics and Photography. Later on I apprenticed with a Master Watercolor artist for seven years.
Visual Art at Plumosa incorporates many art areas. The 2D and 3D art lessons are the main foundation for the upper elementary and middle school art education. Our students are introduced to ceramics, famous Artists, the elements and principles, areas of creativity, sculpture, and watercolor. The Kindergarten -2nd graders are exposed to a little of everything.
My philosophy about art is this, "Have an open mind with imaginative ideas and express those thoughts by using art materials." Mrs. Davis
Grade 3-5 Digital Media/Graphic Design
Mrs. Smollar leads this class in our media center. It is designed to introduce the ideas of graphic design to elementary students. Students work on projects that challenge their thinking and develop skills that involve collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity, working both individually and in groups.
